Full-fat, non-alkalized natural cacao made from 100% pure cacao mass sourced from Finca Berley in the Caquetá region of Colombia. Produced from roasted premium fino de aroma cacao beans, this cacao offers a smooth, robust body with very low acidity. Free from sugars, additives and artificial processing and suitable for kids, vegetarians and vegans.

Flavour profile: full and earthy chocolate character with notes of hazelnut, vanilla, caramel, and gentle natural sweetness.

Product detailed description

This 100% natural cacao is made exclusively from pure cacao mass, produced from carefully selected fino de aroma cacao beans. The cacao is non-alkalized and full-fat, retaining its natural cacao butter content and authentic flavour profile without chemical treatment.

With a natural cacao butter content of approximately 52%, the cacao delivers a rich mouthfeel and supports the absorption of naturally occurring nutrients. Natural cacao is valued for its content of antioxidants, theobromine, and essential minerals – especially magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron, and is traditionally associated with sustained energy, focus, and overall well-being. It also contains a wide spectrum of vitamins, particularly A, B1, B2, B3, C and E. Unlike alkalized cocoa powders, this cacao preserves its natural colour, aroma, and complexity, making it ideal for authentic cacao drinks and chocolate preparations.

The cacao comes from ASOACASAN Cooperative located in the Caquetá department of southern Colombia, and is sourced from more than 150 small cacao farmers. Thanks to its clearly defined origin, this cacao is classified as a single origin (one region).

Origin, Farmer & Terroir:

This cacao comes from Caquetá, Colombia, where it is processed by José in cooperation with local smallholder farmers organized under the ASOACASAN Cooperative. Caquetá lies between the Amazonian plains and the Eastern Cordillera of the Andes, a region characterized by exceptional biodiversity and fertile soils. Historically affected by armed conflict and coca cultivation, the area has undergone a significant transformation toward sustainable cacao farming. Today, cacao provides farmers with a stable and peaceful livelihood. 

The local terroir gives this cacao its full, earthy chocolate profile, pronounced nuttiness, subtle vanilla notes, a robust body, and very low acidity. These characteristics make it particularly well suited for oat-based and other plant-based milks.
