For thousands of years, the Guatemalans, descendants of the Mayans present in the territory, have been creating and testing different forms of the "food of the gods" - cacao and chocolate. We visited a traditional handmade chocolate factory in the village of San Juan del Obispo, locatednear Antigua, Guatemala. We met Senora Brenda, who showed us the production and offered us a taste of all the traditional delicacies that have been prepared in the same way and by hand for decades. Señora Brenda took over chocolate making from her parents, and thus their family craft has been preserved for four generations.
This great story was captured on video thanks to a visitVisitGuatemala.
We wish you a wonderful experience and hope you get a taste for a dose of the original cocoa and chocolate at Kakaw Co+.
