Cocoa butter is a natural fat of vegetable origin that is extracted after cooling from cocoa mass, i.e. from cocoa beans. After extraction, the original raw material, cocoa mass, produces two products: cocoa butter and the remaining cocoa solids, i.e. defatted cocoa powder (called cocoa).
It is particularly rich in exceptional caring fatty acids (stearic, palmitic, oleic, linoleic) as well as antioxidant polyphenols and vitamin E. It also contains the substance theoromine, which stimulates microcirculation, and also contains iron, copper, calcium, vitamins A, B and C.
“No, it’s not just a sweet tooth: I’m protecting myself from free radicals!”. Not a bad excuse, right? And above all, very attractive for the skin. It’s not for nothing that cocoa was nicknamed the “food of the Gods” in Mayan times.
Cocoa butter is used to make chocolates, which, when cold, gives the chocolate its solid appearance and the right soft texture. However, cocoa butter is also a very beneficial base for natural cosmetics precisely because of its beneficial and regenerating effects for the skin and hair! What are they? We'll talk about them here.

Cocoa butter is rich in antioxidants, including oleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid. These fatty acids are particularly beneficial for the skin because they protect it from external adverse factors and free radicals. This slows down the aging process and also acts as a sunscreen. Your skin will look more beautiful from the first days. Thanks to cocoa butter, the appearance of wrinkles is also slowed down. No more overpriced wrinkle creams!

4. Helps with stretch marks, cellulite, burns and scars
Time, hormones and age have a greater or lesser impact on our skin. Cocoa butter is a gentle and non-toxic way to combat these many changes. Almost all pregnant women will tell you that they have used cocoa butter on stretch marks and were very satisfied with the results. The action of the above antioxidants lightens pigment spots, evens out skin tone and regenerates the skin in scars and injuries. Others even recommend cocoa butter to soothe and heal sensitive skin or skin irritations like eczema. This is an opportunity to replace regular ointments and creams that are usually full of harmful chemical compounds.
5. Moisturizes and nourishes lips
Our lips are one of the few surfaces on our body that doesn't get hydrated. That's why we constantly moisturize our lips or apply lip balm throughout the day. Choose a 100% cocoa butter balm. Cocoa butter perfectly moisturizes the lips thanks to its creamy texture. You can easily melt cocoa butter, add an essential oil of your choice and your favorite color to create your own, tailor-made lip balm. Thanks to the caffeine in cocoa butter, your lips will be full and you will have a beautiful smile with soft, seductive and beautifully toned lips, and you will also smell seductively of cocoa!
6. We use its effect in aromatherapy
Pure cocoa butter is very fragrant, aromatic, and therefore suitable for use in aromatherapy. The smell of chocolate and vanilla is delicate and we usually cannot resist them. Essential oil experts explain that cocoa butter is not a carrier oil, but thanks to its natural properties it is suitable for aromatherapy. For example, you can mix cocoa butter with a few drops of the fresh floral scent of neroli with citrus notes. Neroli is known to fight anxiety and depression.
7. Relaxing effects
Have you had a hard day? How about taking a nice hot bath with cocoa butter and a piece of good quality chocolate?
