Just one day after the premiere of the film Duchoň, the actors and creators set off on a trip to exclusive DUCHOŇ roadshow preview. In addition to the film about the exceptional singer, they have prepared a concert of his greatest hits performed by Vladko Plevčík, Anna Gajdziková, and Daniel Žulčák, who is replaced by Alena Pajtinková, for audiences in the largest amphitheaters throughout Slovakia.
However, the producers decided to take one more step during the tour – to support a project that helps the disadvantaged. And we are extremely proud that they chose KAKAWCO, a social enterprise that helps people who are difficult to employ find work, learn work habits, acquire new skills, and work responsibly.
"Some partnerships arise from unexpected encounters. Kakaw Co+ originally approached us with a different type of collaboration, but during discussions with colleagues at DNA Production, we offered a concept that is not superficial and will be part of our film productions in the future," explained producer Rasťo Šesták, explaining the roots of this collaboration.

"The film Duchoň has received a lot of attention since filming began, and even more so after its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. We greatly appreciate this. However, we are well aware that it is much more difficult for the third sector to gain public awareness, despite how much good these organizations do for society, regardless of the field in which they operate. We believe that if someone can help with the power of their brand, they should do so even if it is not directly related to their agenda," adds Šesták.
Visitors to the DUCHOŇ roadshow were able to get to know Kakawco in person during the opening event in the amphitheater at Zemplínska Šírava, and it was also present in Martin. This Thursday, July 31, it will be in Senec. "We are very happy to have been given the opportunity to introduce our social entrepreneurship project to people in such a pleasant way. The song Vonia kakao (The Smell of Cocoa) is our unofficial Kakawco anthem, so we couldn't miss it," said Martina Matejíčková, founder of the Kakaw Co+ project.
