Her vision for her future career began to take shape while she was studying public economics, which she supplemented with a minor in social entrepreneurship. As she was looking for meaningful work, she decided to use the knowledge and experience she had gained and traveled to a country that enchanted her with its culture and passion for an ancient treasure—cocoa. In Colombia, while participating in various projects, she further developed her idea for a concept that would raise awareness of this beneficial food (cocoa), address social dilemmas, and, last but not least, emphasize respect for the environment. In Colombia, she began working with local farmers, former coca growers, with whom she built a new era of cultivation.
Social entrepreneurship can be sustainable
After returning to Slovakia, she launched a social enterprise concept that provided jobs for hard-to-employ, disadvantaged people in an integration packaging facility. This initially bold idea now creates an inclusive and respectful working environment for disadvantaged people in Slovakia and brings new opportunities and fair working conditions for local farmers in Latin America.
