Cacao Nibs - Colombia Huila
Product detailed description
Pleasantly intense cacao with floral and fruity notes, medium acidity and clearly defined, sweet notes of cacao and vanilla.
They have undergone an experimental washed process that should eliminate post-fermentation astringency and the presence of odours, thus ensuring more pronounced intensity of the taste experience.
Huila is known as the largest producer of fine coffee and cacao in Colombia. In addition to the departments of Tolima, Cundinamarca and Cauca, it is also adjacent to Caquetá and Meta, which you have already tasted with us. Every habitat is represented in the area - desert, savannah, páramo, volcano, riverbed, and rainforest. Thanks to the variable altitude, sloping terrain, rainfall, moisture from the Magdalena River, winds and sunshine, the area offers such unique growing conditions that cocoa from no two neighbouring farms in Huila tastes the same.
Flavour profile: A full and sweet fruity flavour profile with clearly defined, bitter notes of cocoa and juicy notes of sweet dried fruit.
Application: You can use them for direct consumption or add them to porridge, yoghurt, creams or as a sprinkle on cookies.
The product is lovingly packed in an integrative packaging for disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Slovakia.
