Full-fat, non-alkalized natural cacao made from 100% pure cacao mass sourced from premium fino de aroma cacao beans. This ceremonial cacao is offered in solid pieces rather than ground/powdered form, preserving the cacao in its most traditional and authentic state. Free from sugars, additives and artificial processing and suitable also for vegetarians and vegans.

Product detailed description

This 100% ceremonial cacao is made exclusively from pure cacao mass, produced from carefully selected fino de aroma cacao beans. The cacao is non-alkalized and full-fat, preserving its natural cacao butter content, flavour integrity, and nutritional value without chemical treatment. We do not use any refined white sugar – only panela, which preserves a more complex flavour and reflects the natural origin of the cacao. 

Unlike ground/powdered cacao, this product is offered in solid cacao pieces, allowing for slower melting, intentional preparation, and a closer connection to traditional cacao practices. The cacao can be finely chopped or gently melted during preparation, depending on the desired ritual or ceremonial context.

With a natural cacao butter content of approximately 52%, the cacao delivers a rich mouthfeel and supports the absorption of naturally occurring nutrients. Natural cacao is valued for its content of antioxidants, theobromine, and essential minerals – especially magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron, and is traditionally associated with sustained energy, focus, and overall well-being. It also contains a wide spectrum of vitamins, particularly A, B1, B2, B3, C and E. Unlike alkalized cocoa powders, this cacao preserves its natural colour, aroma, and complexity, making it ideal for authentic cacao drinks and chocolate preparations.

Why is this cacao special?

Ceremonial cacao represents cacao in its most authentic and traditional form. Historically, cacao was prepared from solid cacao mass, slowly melted and shared during rituals, ceremonies, and communal gatherings. The use of whole cacao pieces encourages intentional preparation, presence, and respect for the process itself.

Because the cacao is not powdered, it retains a tactile and visual quality that supports ceremonial use — from mindful cutting and melting to shared preparation. This form naturally invites slower pacing, reflection, and conscious connection, making it especially suitable for cacao ceremonies, meditation, group rituals, or personal intentional practices.

What is Fino de Aroma?

Fino de aroma is a designation used for cacao varieties with exceptional aromatic and flavour qualities. It represents only a small fraction of global cacao production and is most commonly associated with Criollo and Trinitario varieties.
